Summers Picou

Summers Picou, 81, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died May 17, 2005.

Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. today and 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Landry's 
Funeral Home in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 
a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Co-cathedral in Thibodaux, with burial at St. Joseph 
Cemetery in Thibodaux.

He is survived by his wife, Edwina Taylor Picou; sons, Reginald Patrick Picou, 
Ronald Summers Picou and Gregory Kevin Picou; daughter, Alice Mary Gilmore; 
stepchildren, Gwendolyn C. Mallet, Chester V. Christensen and Darlene C. Daigle; 
brothers, Raymond and Urban Picou; sister, Patricia Clement; 15 grandchildren; 
and 25 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick A. and Alice A. Lafort Picou; 
stepmother, Odyessa Navarre; brothers, Fernand and Patrick Picou.

Donations to Bayou Region Hospice, 195 Corporal Drive, Houma, La. 70364 are 
preferred.

Landry's Funeral Home of Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements.
