Blanchard and husband, Thomas Paul Blanchard, of Thibodaux, and Helen L. Bullock and husband, McCauley O. Bullock Jr., of Baton Rouge; one son, Laurence D. LeSueur and wife, Mendi Murray LeSueur, of Singapore; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Donnelly LeSueur; one son, Leon Jastremski LeSueur Jr.; his parents, Mary Louise Foley and Leon Jastremski LeSueur; and one sister, Evelyn Foley LeSueur. He practiced law with Talbot, LeSueur and Talbot until his election as state district judge of the 23rd Judicial District in 1965. By assignment of the Louisiana Supreme Court, Judge LeSueur served on the Court of Appeal, 4th Circuit and on the Family Court of East Baton Rouge Parish. He participated in the invasion of Normandy and was awarded the Purple Heart Medal. He was a lifelong member of Christ Episcopal Church, served as a senior warden for many years and was a founding member of the Friends of Christ Church. He was a member of the Louisiana Bar Association, the American Legion and Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. He is survived by one son, David Miller of Richmond, Calif.; one daughter, Lillian Miller of Houma; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Alta Mund of Richmond and Aleen Baker of Purcell, Okla. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Hammans Miller; one son, Willard Paul Miller; his parents, Neal Alexis and Bertha Little Miller; three brothers, Chancey Miller, Lester Miller and Eddie Miller; and one sister, Marie Miller Crawford. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp during World War II in the South Pacific theatre. When he went to work for J. Ray McDermott in 1960, he and his wife had just moved from Madison County, Iowa, and were living on Eddie and Annie Miller's Snake and Reptile Farm. In Louisiana, more people know him as "Snake" than Charles Miller. After retiring from J. Ray McDermott in 1979, he and his wife operated the first Bed N' Breakfast in Terrebonne Parish, the Peacock Inn. He was a deacon at First Baptist Church in Houma where he taught Sunday School and served on a number of committees. He was a Mason at the Unity Lodge No. 267 and a member of Eastern Star. In Louisiana, more people know him as "Snake" than Charles Miller. After retiring from J. Ray McDermott in 1979, he and his wife operated the first Bed N' Breakfast in Terrebonne Parish, the Peacock Inn. He was a deacon at First Baptist Church in Houma where he taught Sunday School and served on a number of committees. He was a Mason at the Unity Lodge No. 267 and a member of Eastern Star.
