He retired from Exxon with more than 40 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, barbequing and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was also a member of the D-Day Museum in New Orleans and participated in the 60th anniversary of the Normandy Invasion celebrations at the museum in June 2004.
