Boutte; one son, Ken Boutte; one granddaughter, Tracy Boutte; her parents, Gracien Trosclair and Marie Clement Trosclair; one sister, Velma Lagarde; and one brother, William Trosclair Sr. After graduating as a registered nurse from Hotel Dieu School of Nursing in New Orleans, she married the love of her life, Howard G. Boutte on April 20, 1940. They celebrated their 65thwedding anniversary in 2005, just before Howard's death in June 2005. Together they raised four children who all went on to make them proud. Moving to Lafayette in 1955, the Bouttes were well-known in the oil community and had many friends. Anna was a longtime member of the Lafayette Geological Society. She also was a parishioner of the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist. One of her proudest accomplishments was being selected as the 1972 winner of the Advertiser "Best Cook in Acadiana Contest." Before her illness Anna and Howard were active members at the Lafayette General Wellness Centera and enjoyed their casino trips and visits to their children and relatives. She was an avid reader, reading two newspapers a day and she could tell you what was going on just about anywhere. People were amazed at how alert she was right up to the end. An ardent Texas Aggie supporter, she loved her "Aggie Mom" title. More than the Aggies however, she loved her little Schottish terrier, McGraw, who passed away last Thanksgiving. She quietly touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved this lady with the smile and the expressive eyes. The family would like to thank her faithful and loyal friends, Loretta and Walter Glod, her favorite priest the Rev. Keith and Eucharistic minister Kirby Boudreaux for continuing to brighten her days with regular visits. Boutte on April 20, 1940. They celebrated their 65thwedding anniversary in 2005, just before Howard's death in June 2005. Together they raised four children who all went on to make them proud. Moving to Lafayette in 1955, the Bouttes were well-known in the oil community and had many friends. Anna was a longtime member of the Lafayette Geological Society. She also was a parishioner of the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist. One of her proudest accomplishments was being selected as the 1972 winner of the Advertiser "Best Cook in Acadiana Contest." Before her illness Anna and Howard were active members at the Lafayette General Wellness Centera and enjoyed their casino trips and visits to their children and relatives. She was an avid reader, reading two newspapers a day and she could tell you what was going on just about anywhere. People were amazed at how alert she was right up to the end. An ardent Texas Aggie supporter, she loved her "Aggie Mom" title. More than the Aggies however, she loved her little Schottish terrier, McGraw, who passed away last Thanksgiving. She quietly touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved this lady with the smile and the expressive eyes. She was honored as "Miss Lafourche" in 1948. She married her husband in 1951 and spent many years working at Nicholls, initially in the registrar's office and later for the dean of the College of Education. She will always be remembered as kind and generous. She cherished her Irish and French-Acadian heritage. She was never afraid to be different or to stand up for a cause that she believed in. She loved spending time on Grand Isle. She was deeply religious, a devout Catholic and believer in our Lord Savior Christ Jesus. She had a great sense of humor. Her family looked forward to holiday gatherings when she made her famous oyster bread dressing.
