He was overseas for 36 months in North Africa, Sicily and Italy. He participated in the battles for the Kasserine Pass, Hill 609, Tunis, Palermo, Anzio and Monte Cassino. After World War II he worked at Texaco for 30 years until his retirement in 1975. He was a member of the VFW.
