Eva C. Duplantis, 91, a native of Houma and resident of Slidell since 1990, died 
at Northshore Living Center Friday, Sept. 5, 2008.
 
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at St. Luke the 
Evangelist Church in Slidell. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, 
with a private family burial in St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery in St. Benedict.

She is survived by one daughter, Sandra D. Bradley of Slidell; two brothers, 
James Colwort and O'Neil Colwort; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Bradley 
Simpson, Kathleen Bradley and Mark Bradley; four great-grandchildren, Michael 
Dann, Alicia Joncyk, Samantha Simpson and Stephanie Simpson; and two great-
great-grandchildren, Abbey Dann and Evan Joncyk.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emile J. Duplantis; and her parents, 
Huel and Leah Songe Colwort; and two brothers, Andrew Colwort and John Colwort; 
and one sister, Eula Mae Colwort Parr.

She was owner of Ideal Grocery of Houma and was an avid gardener.

She was a parishioner of St. Luke the Evangelist Church.

In lieu of flowers , memorial donations can be made to St. Luke Church Good 
Samaritan Ministry.

Mary Helen Allemand Adams, 70, a native of Lockport and resident of Mathews, 
died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008.

Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. today at St. Hilary Catholic Church in 
Mathews, with burial in Holy Savior Cemetery in Lockport.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Adams; two sons, Lane Adams and wife, 
Elaine, and Troy Adams; one brother, Jimmie Allemand; one sister, Elsie 
Charpentier; and three grandchildren, Joshua, Nicholas and Gabriele Adams.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edmond and Emily Parr Allemand.

She was a member of St. Hilary Ladies Altar Society and a parishioner of St. 
Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church.

Hammond, died at 4:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008.

Duplantis; her mother, Pearl P. LeBouef of Houma; one sister, Christine L. 
Sullivan and husband, Daniel "Buddy" Sullivan; and one brother, Bernard "Tommy" 
LeBouef and wife, Susan.

She was preceded in death by her first husband of 30 years, Donald J. "Chumpy" 
Billiu, father of her children; her father, Clay Bernard LeBouef; her paternal 
grandparents, George Peter LeBouef and Bertha Bernard LeBouef; and her maternal 
grandparents, Augustan Pitre and wife, Clara Pitre.

She was a member of the Terrebonne Art Guild, Terrebonne Historical and Cultural 
Society, Hammond Cultural Foundation, Hammond Art Guild and the Sunshine Ladies.

She was a loving mother and grandmother, devoted to her family and love of 
painting and floral design.

Da'Quincy Paul Chambers of Raceland; one daughter, Zireya Aujona Chambers of 
Raceland; two sisters, Page L. Poindexter of Raceland and Chandara Smith of New

Iberia, Kenell Johnson of Oklahoma and Aaron Johnson of New Orleans; and his

Lawrence Voisin.

She was a founding member of TARC and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic 
Church.

She loved her family and friends and brought joy to everyone she embraced.

Charles J. LeBlanc, 83, a native of Labarre and resident of Thibodaux, died 
Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Lawrimore LeBlanc; two sons, Dr. Charles 
Andre "Andy" LeBlanc and wife, Lori, and Judge John E. LeBlanc and wife, Denise; 
one daughter, Linda LeBlanc Ward and husband, Bill; one sister, Isabel LeBlanc 
Lasseinge and husband, Cliff; one brother, Jules LeBlanc and wife, Viola; six 
grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jules LeBlanc; his mother, Celine 
LeBlanc; two brothers, Henry and Edward; five sisters, Philomene, Ursula, 
Regina, Theresa and Agnes; and one grandson, Mitchell Ward.

He was a practicing attorney for more than 50 years and was known as the oldest 
practicing attorney in Thibodaux and was a U.S. World War II veteran. He was a 
devout Catholic and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nolan Paul "Gray" Adams and Therese

He was a retired teacher from the Lafourche Parish School Board and was active 
in gardening, music, jogging and community art projects. He was supportive of 
the Lafourche Parish Library System, the Fire Dept. Floats and the Madi Gras 
parades.

Gloria Theriot

Gloria B. Theriot, 79, a native and resident of Larose, died Monday, Sept. 8, 
2008.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of the Rosary 
Catholic Church in Larose.

She is survived by her husband, Leonce "Ganoo" Theriot; one daughter, Peggy T. 
Hebert and husband, Robert "Bobby" Hebert; one sister, Joan Callais; two 
grandchildren, Shane Hebert and wife, Dawn, and Rachel H. Rousse and husband, 
Alan; and six great-grandchildren, Michaela, Nicholas, Jordan and Rome Hebert, 
and Christopher and Courtney Rousse.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hamilton and Alcidia Bouvier; one son, 
Danny Theriot; two brothers, Rickey Bouviere and Colbert Bouvier Sr.; and three 
sisters, Marie Bouvier, Lily Rose B. Wells and Enid B. Guidroz.

She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church.

Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Anyssa Alexis Thomas, 3, a native and resident of Houma, died at 7:34 a.m. 
Monday, Aug. 8, 2008.
 

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Falgout Funeral Home. 
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with burial in St. 
Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.

She is survived by her parents, Gary Paul Thomas and Valerie Ann Green; and her 
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee A. Green Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Otis Thomas.

Donations to the family to help with funeral expenses are preferred.

Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Edward Waguespack, 79, a native and resident of Schriever, died at 9:32 a.m. 
Monday, Sept. 8, 2008.
 

Services will be scheduled at a later date.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Alice Fremin Waguespack; three 
sons, Randy and wife, Erica, of Labadieville, Mark and wife, Melinda, of 
Thibodaux, and Jeffery Waguespack of Schriever; two brothers, Pierre and Raymond 
Waguespack of Thibodaux; one sister, Eva Mae Miller of Vacherie; six 
grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luke and Theresa Ordoyne Waguespack; 
five brothers, O'Neil, O.J., Lloyd, L.J. and Daniel; and three sisters, Joyce 
Rodrigue, Yvonne Melancon and Anne Waguespack.

He was a parishioner of St. Bridget Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of 
Columbus Council No. 12285 and a former member of the parish staff and usher.

Landry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
