Alva Waguespack Beadle, 76, a native and resident of Reserve, died at 4:15 a.m. 
Monday, Sept. 29, 2008.

Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. today at St. Peter Catholic Church in 
Reserve, with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Daniel W. Beadle; her children, 
Janet Doisher and husband, Eddie, of LaPlace, Iris Tamplain and husband, Baylis 
"BeeBe", of Reserve, Michael Beadle and wife, Sonya, of Denham Springs, Charles 
Beadle of Reserve, Randy Beadle of Maurepas, Sharon Kell and husband, Tracy, of 
Paulina, Danielle Cornett and husband, Kenny, of Head of Island, Alva Anne 
Childress and husband, Lavell, of Brittany, and Allison Barado and husband, 
Winston Sr., of Gonzales; two sisters, Helen Klibert of Reserve and Lolita 
Martinez "Sis" of Raceland; one brother, Winton Waguespack Jr. of Walker; 17 
grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Winton and Lolita Waguespack; and one 
great-grandchild.

Lorena B. Cheramie, 87, a native of Delta Farms and resident of Golden Meadow, 
died at 2:34 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008.
 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Our Lady of Prompt 
Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the 
church, with burial in Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Joseph "Joe" Cheramie; one son, 
Arnold Dupre and wife, Lou Ann; one stepson, Tony Cheramie and wife, Penny; one 
daughter, Joyce Gisclair and husband, Victor; one stepdaughter, Pam St. Pierre 
and husband, Rickey; 19 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emile and Josephine Barrios; one 
brother, Calemire Barrios; and three sisters, Mary Richoux, Angest Dupre and 
Amey Duet.

She was retired and a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church.

21, 2008.

He is survived by one son, Chad Michael Dufrene; two brothers, Clifford "Pete" 
John Dufrene and Curtis Joseph Dufrene; and three sisters, Juanita Tonubbee, 
Lona Loupe and Irma Jean Breaux.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman J. Dufrene and Naise Naquin 
Dufrene; and one brother, Rodney Dufrene.

Kerry James "Kknukka" Eschete, 19, a native of Houma and resident of Schriever, 
died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008.

Funeral service was held Thursday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with burial in 
the church cemetery.

He is survived by his parents, Chad Eschete and Lisa Pellegrin Eschete of 
Schriever; one brother, Kaine Eschete of Schriever; one sister, Kalli Eschete of 
Schriever; his grandparents, Jeannie and Elbert Pellegrin of Schriever and 
Warren and Betty Eschete of Houma; his great-grandmother, Viola Eschete Norman 
of Houma; numerous family and friends; and one true love, Kala Marie Benoit of 
Thibodaux.

He was a detailer for John Deer in Thibodaux and a parishioner of Holy Rosary 
Catholic Church.

He was an organ donor. Born Oct. 30, 1988 - living on Sept. 20, 2008, our hero.

In lieu of flowers, donations to a memorial fund set up at any Capitol One Bank 
in Kerry Eschete's name would be appreciated.

Winfield Joseph Friloux Sr., living his adult life in Luling, moved to Houma in 
2006 and was a resident of Chauteau Terrebonne in Houma, died peacefully with 
his family at his side and entered into eternal rest at 11:55 p.m. Monday, Sept. 
29, 2008.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at St. Anthony Catholic 
Church in Luling. Mass will be at noon Thursday at the church, with burial in 
St. Charles Cemetery.

He is survived by his children, Kevin Friloux and wife, Angie, Winfield J. 
"Winnie" Friloux Jr. and wife, Cathy, Keith Friloux and wife, Lauren; brother of 
Clifford, Alvin, Irvin, Amos and Dennis Friloux, Melba Lemoine, Dorothy 
Plaisance and Betty Baudoin; three special sisters-in-law, Ethel Savoie, Roberta 
Landry and Beverly Trayal; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 
numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years, Eunice Savoie Friloux; 
and his parents, Leonie Robert Friloux and Denis Friloux.

During his lifetime, he acquired the nicknames "Ducky" and "Chester" and in 
later life "Winn" and Chet". He was affectionately known to his grandkids and 
great-grandkids as "Pappy".

He was an athlete at Westwego High, where he graduated. He honorably served in 
World War II with the 363rd Engineers, Company D, SS, being discharged with the 
rank of staff sergeant. He served in the Middle East and received the European 
North African Medal, the Good Conduct and Victory Medals. He was a member of the 
Luling VFW Post No. 3750 and Baudoin-Loupe American Legion Post No. 316. He was 
for many years an active member of St. Anthony and Holy Family Parishes in 
Luling.

He was a retired homebuilder, building hundreds of homes in St. Charles and 
neighboring parishes. He took special pride in the construction of Willowdale 
Country Club, of which he was a charter member. He was one of the first coaches 
in the St. Charles Recreation Association, teaching many young boys to enjoy 
America's pastime. He was an avid Saints fan from the time of the team coming 
into New Orleans until the time he left us.

He left us with his strength, his devotion to his wife and kids and his untiring 
goodwill. We will miss him greatly.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude in Memphis.

three great-grandchildren.

Hahnville High School.

He served his country in the U.S. Navy, U.S.C.I.A. and finished his tour in 
Vietnam. He served the Lafourche Parish Sheriff Department for seven years and 
continued his public service with the Thibodaux Police Department where he 
retired.

He took a vast interest in his collection hobby of guns, weapons and coins. 
However, his greatest passion was flying. He was a dedicated police officer, a 
loving and devoted husband, father and a true friend to those who knew him. He 
will be greatly missed by all and his memory will always be honored.

retired secretary from Dutchtown High School. She enjoyed cooking and assisting 
in coaching the girls' softball pony league.

Baio Mella of Quitman; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three 
great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Antoino Baio; her parents, Coloun 
Jumonville and Frances T. Garcia Jumonville; three sons, Lionel, Anthony and 
Howard Baio; and one sister, Nettie Savoy.

She was a homemaker.

David Gerard Brien, 44, a native and resident of New Orleans, entered his 
eternal rest on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time 
Saturday at St. Louis Catholic Church. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the 
church, with burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his parents, Lawrence Francis Brien and Margaret Cavanaugh 
Brien of Bayou Blue; two brothers, Stanley Brien and wife, Laura Brien, and 
Randy Brien of New Orleans; one nephew, Zachary Brien; and numerous aunts, 
uncles, and a host of cousins, colleagues and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elizabeth Morillion Brien, Lance 
Brien and Laura Pontiff Brien, Francis Cavanaugh and Aurelia Cavanaugh.

He was a longtime valued paralegal with Hailey McNamara Law Firm. He was an 
active member of SNAP, active member of Lakeview Civic Improvement Association, 
who believed and practiced giving back generously to the Community. He will 
sorely missed by all.

He was a World War I Army veteran, a member of the VFW and was retired.

eagerly awaiting baby boy Magness in two weeks; and two godchildren, Kacy 
Lassere and Charlene Hicks.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph "June" Jr. and Louise Mahler 
Constant.

She was a loving wife, caring mother and a homemaker who was passionate about 
her cooking. She loved and was loved by many family members and friends.

Smith, Paula Jo Hattaway and Jeri Peavy; one son, Thomas Hattaway; two sisters, 
Barbara Volken of San Francisco and Rosemarie Barber of Hartland, Wis.; eight 
grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Francis Volken and Theophil 
Volken.

He was retired and was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the VFW.

She was a member of Greater New Fountain Baptist Church and served on the
