of Bourg, died at 5:17 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008.

Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time 
Monday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Ann 
Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Kirk Bonvillain Sr. of Bourg; one son, Kevin 
Bonvillain and wife, Misty; one stepdaughter, Kim Trahan; one brother, Delma 
Daigle III and wife, Katie; four sisters, Linda Theriot, Connie Duplantis, Delma 
Ann Linson and husband, Howard, and Stacy Bruce; four grandchildren, Kirk Trey 
Bonvillain III, Gage Bonvillain, Taylor Bonvillain and Jade Bonvillain; and 
three step-grandchildren, Joei Vendetto, Dillion Trahan and Dra' Trahan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Delma Joseph Daigle Jr. and Rosalie 
Ledet Daigle Chelette; one son, Kirk "Kirky" Bonvillain Jr.; and her 
grandparents, William Ledet, Mable Thibodaux, Delma Daigle and Adeline Vegas.

She was a retired nurse with Southdown Nursing Home and a parishioner of St. Ann 
Catholic Church.

p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008.

Mass will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. 
Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.

He is survived by his wife, Edna Ann Duplantis Foret; two sons, Dale P. Foret 
and wife, Sheila, and Peter M. Foret; two brothers, Junius and Robert Foret; one 
sister, Rita F. Foret; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Evles J. and Leontine Bergeron Foret; 
five brothers, Tonis, Ernest, Percy, Minest and Jervis Foret; and three sisters, 
Aurelia Trahan, Bernice Price and Ann E. Foret.

He was a member of DAV, the American Legion and was a U.S. Army World War II 
veteran.

He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.

died at 12:01 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008.

Home. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Chauvin Funeral Home Chapel, with burial 
to follow in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.

She is survived by her son, Alphonse Baio and wife, Roberta Baio, of Houma; two 
daughters, Mable M. Moore and husband, Edward, and Marie Louise Richardson and 
husband, Sam, of Houma; two daughters-in-law, Patricia Baio of Texas and Pat 
Baio Mella of Quitman; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and three 
great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Antonio Baio; her parents, Coloun 
Jumonville and Frances T. Garcia Jumonville; three sons, Lionel Baio, Anthony 
Baio and Howard Baio; and one sister, Nettie Savoy.

She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by two grandfathers, Felix N. Curole and Domonick

She was Catholic and a parishioner at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church.

She belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 259, and enjoyed reading, 
shopping and going to movies. She was a teacher at Holy Savior Catholic School.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Wells Elliott, of Houma; one son, Glenn 
Elliott and wife, Glenda of Fort Worth, Texas; two daughters, Nancy Richoux and 
husband, Anthony, of Richardson, Texas; Ellen Schwerer and husband, Bryan, of 
Cary, N.C.; two stepsons, Robert McLaurin and wife, Susan, of Centranelle, Ala., 
and Mike McLaurin and wife, Luan, of DeRidder; one stepdaughter, Ann Walton and 
husband, John, of Houma; one brother, Francis "Frank" Andrew Elliott of 
Pineville; two sisters, Joanna Grace Elliott Vaughn of Houston and Nellie 
"Corky" Louise Elliott of Pineville; 13 grandchildren and three great-
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Katherine Wood Elliott; his parents, 
Leroy Elliott and Leona Notesine Elliott; four brothers, Fred Rosemand Elliott, 
Loree "Bob" Elliott, Ellery Charles Elliott, and Leroy Fred Elliott; and one 
sister, Winona Mae Elliott.

He was a retired district superintendent for Texaco Pipeline and was a 
lieutenant junior grade in the U.S. Navy. During World War II, he worked on the 
east coast improving the efficiency of torpedoes.

He was a parishioner at First United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the American Cancer Society or 
First United Methodist Church.

Selma Sue Chapman Geiger, 74, a native of Shreveport and resident of Houma, died 
Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008.
 

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today at Dispersed of Judah Cemetery on 
North Anthony Street in New Orleans.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Emanuel B. Geiger; two sons, Harold 
S. Geiger of St. Louis and Michael B. Geiger and wife, Deborah, of Rockville, 
Md.; one daughter, Melanie G. Pollack and husband, Dale, of Houston; two 
grandchildren, Sonya Rachel Geiger and Heather Johanna Geiger of Rockville, Md.; 
one brother, Jerome I. Chapman and wife, Bunny, of Alexandria, Va.; and numerous 
nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louise and Isaac Chapman.

She worked for more than 40 years alongside her husband in their business, 
Universal Men's Wear in downtown Houma. After retirement in 1994, she became 
active in the Shady Oaks (later Shady Acres) Senior Citizens Center and was a 
member of their action committee.

She was a four-time past matron of A.W. Connely No. 117, Order of Eastern Star, 
past mother adviser of Houma Assembly No. 57, Order of Rainbow for Girls, a past 
chapter mom for Aubin Buquet Chapter of Demolay. She was a charter member and 
past president of the Houma Terrebonne Jaycee Jaynes, a member of Friends of the 
Library and past president of Houma Clownettes. She was a member of Beth Israel 
Synagogue in Metairie and Congregation Beth-El of Houma. She loved to read, play 
poker and keno and go to the casinos.

Oct. 16, 2008.

deacon at St. Anthony Catholic Church for 28 years.

He was a chaplain of the Knights of Columbus, a past president of St. Joseph 
Italian Society, a Bayou Black volunteer firefighter, a former southeast 
Louisiana regional high school football referee, a former member of the 
Terrebonne School Board, a former board member of SLECA and a member of the 
American Legion.

He was a chief petty officer in the U.S. Navy and veteran of the Korean War.

He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
