Dichason J. Theriot, 82, a native and resident of Golden Meadow, La., died 
Friday, June 26, at 7:03 p.m.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Eula Mae Griffin Theriot; daughters, 
Linda Theriot Guidry and husband Morris, and Grace Theriot LaViolette and 
husband Rusty; sisters, Loredia Terrebonne and Bel Duet; grandchildren, Richelle 
Guidry Rousse and husband Lonnie, Renata Guidry and Kristie LaViolette; and 
great-grandchild, Segan "Lil Cat" Rousse.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Evada Theriot; foster 
mother, Celima Plaisance; and sisters, Lucie Theriot and Enola "LaLa" Meador.

He was a decorated veteran of the U.S. Navy having served on the minesweeper 
U.S.S. Hazard AM 240 during World War II. He was the owner of Theriot Supply 
Company and Theriot Electrical and Refrigeration Contractors. He was a member of 
the Lafourche Masonic Lodge #427 F&AM, Golden Meadow Rotary Club and the 
American Legion. He was an avid fisherman and trawler and enjoyed camping. He 
passed away with his family by his side. Anchors Away Paga.

She is survived by her husband, Lester Andrews Sr.; daughter, Gale R. Guidry of 
Houma; sons, Michael John Rhodes of Ville Platte, La., Dallas P. Rhodes of 
Anchorage, Alaska, and Herbert A. Rhodes of Houma; sisters, Cecile Evans, Madge 
Landry and Lydia Champagne; brothers, Herbert Theriot, Elton Theriot, Patrick 
Theriot, Carol Theriot and Roy John Theriot; 13 grandchildren; five great-
grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jean Theriot and Aimee Chauvin 
Theriot; previous husband, Dallas Paul Rhodes; and brother, Clinton Peter 
Theriot.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Terrebonne Fine Arts Guild. Elsie was 
one of this areas most talented and beloved artists.

The funeral service was Wednesday, July 1, at St. Eloi Catholic Church with 
burial at the church cemetery.

Anna Mae T. Bourgeois, 83, a native of Lafourche Crossing, La., and a resident 
of Chauvin, La., died Thursday, July 2, at 12:03 p.m.

She is survived by her husband, Walter Joseph Bourgeois; sons, Michael 
Bourgeois, Timothy and wife Marriann Bourgeois, and Jeffory and wife Laura Moody 
Bourgeois; daughters, Carol Ann Terrebonne and husband George, and Gloria 
Andrews and husband Russell; sisters, Anna Belle Trosclair and Cecilia Ponville; 
13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and companion, Diane Pitre of 
Montegut.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilfred S. and Ceslea Knight 
Thibodeaux; sister, Gertrude Boudreaux; and grandchildren, Ray Bourgeois and 
Alex Bourgeois.

She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, July 4, at St. Joseph Church 
with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be at St. Joseph Mausoleum.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Percy and Louberda Bradford; and 
brothers, Sterling and Clarence Bradford.

She was a member of Rock of Ages Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Jerry Paul Dupre

Jerry Paul Dupre, 73, a native and life long resident of Bayou Blue, La., and a 
veteran of the U.S. Air Force died Wednesday, July 1.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lou Shuff Dupre; daughters, Kimala 
Campbell and husband Mike Campbell, Kendra Bell and spouse Martin Bell, and 
Lynelle Lincecum and husband Terry Lincecum; son, Kelyn J. Dupre; brothers, 
Richard, Floyd and Patrick; grandchildren, Dustin Markham, Michelle and Jarad 
Lincecum, Lacey and Mollie Campbell, Eric and John Bell, Derek and Devyn Dupre; 
and great-grandchildren, Damon and Lizzy-Lou Markham.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Oris Dupre; brothers, Robert 
Lee Dupre and Charles Dupre; and sister, Una-Mae Dupre.

He was a retired purchasing director at Terrebonne General Medical Center. He 
was a faithful member of the First Pentecostal Home of The Life Church.

She was a homemaker and a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. She was 
a member of the Catholic Daughters of America.

Erath; and great-grandchildren, Nicholas Book, Caleb Trahan, Mason Trahan, 
Connely McNeely, Anna McNeely, Kameron Arceneaux, Brittney Suire, Morghan 
Guidry, Jadyn Guidry and Lane Guidry.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, John A. Book Jr. of 
Ferriday, La.; parents, Wilkin and Edna Sampay of Gibson; brothers, Junius 
Sampay of Buras, La., and Roy Sampay of Gibson; sister, Alverta Pitre of 
Chacahoula, La.; and grandson, Jeremy James Trahan of Bayou Black, La.

Pall Bearers will be her grandsons, Michael J. Book Jr., Brandon M. Trahan, Jack 
J. Arceneaux Jr., Christopher J, Arceneaux and Matthew R. Arceneaux; and great-
grandson, Nicholas Book. Honorary Pall Bearers are her great-grandsons, Caleb M. 
Trahan, Mason J. Trahan and Connely McNeely.

She enjoyed bowling, and fishing and her faithful companion, her dog Tabby.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, July 6, and 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. 
Tuesday, July 7, at Chauvin Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Tuesday at 
the funeral home chapel.

Larose, La., was called to Heaven while surrounded by her family Friday, June 
26.

Her memory now lives on in the hearts of her many loved ones, her devoted and 
loving husband of 46 years, Daniel DeFelice; mother, Jane O. Savoie; children, 
Daniall D. Callais, Jill D. Johnson and Jay DeFelice; siblings, Ray Savoie, 
Bobby Savoie, Bea S. Dantin, Jackie Savoie, Russell Savoie and Jerry Savoie; and 
grandchildren, Courtney Callais, Gavin Johnson and Mia Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ulysse Savoie; and sister, Elois S. 
Hebert.

She was a retired licensed floral designer having served the public for 29 
years. She devoted her time to numerous community organizations and enjoyed 
gardening, Mardi Gras, traveling and large family gatherings.

Mass of Christian Burial was Wednesday, July 1, at Our Lady of the Rosary 
Catholic Church in Larose with entombment at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in 
Cut Off, La.

grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vergus LeBoeuf Sr.; parents, Joseph 
Richard and Justine Bourgeois Richard; son, Malcolm LeBoeuf Sr.; brother, 
Clarence Richard; sisters, Lydie Richard and Lelia Richard Hebert; and great-
great-grandson, Jimmy Babin Jr.

She was a member of the Altar Society and the owner and operator of a grocery 
store. She loved to cook and bake, play bingo and go to the casino.

Coleman of Houma; brothers, Tyrone Rollins of Houma and Charles Rollins of 
Colorado; sisters, Gale Morrison of Tallahassee, Fla., Hallet Collins of 
Huntsville, Texas, and Doris Ball and Jacquelyn Soule of New Orleans, La.; and 
one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Valriece Sr. and Alma Smith Rollins; 
brothers, Eric Rollins and Willie Rollins; sister, Patricia Rollins; maternal 
grandparents, Calvin and Algretta Smith; and paternal grandparents, Isreal and 
Viola Rollins.

He was a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and spending 
time with his family.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, at New Jerusalem Baptist 
Church in Houma with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be at Woodlawn 
Ranch Road Cemetery in Houma.

La., died Saturday, July 4.

He loved animals, the outdoors and spending time with his fiance doing simple

looked forward to one day making a little garden like his Papa Nunu and old Papa 
Norris did. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was 
looking forward to buying a ring, marrying Erin and having a family.

Mrs. Clyde Elmer Newell; one son, Eddie Newell; and one son-in-law, John Gale.

He enjoyed reading, model railroading and anything related to trains. He was a 
veteran having served his country as a Marine in both World War II and the 
Korean War. He was an active supporter of various veteran organizations.

He was the general manager of Offshore Food Service providing catering services 
to offshore rigs in the Gulf and overseas. He was a member of United Methodist 
Church in Matthews, La., and a lifetime member of the Masons.

She was a 1950 graduate of Terrebonne High School. She was Miss Terrebonne 
Parish that same year and represented the parish in the New Iberia Rice 
Festival. She was a homemaker and loved playing cards and spending time with her 
many lifelong and new found friends. Handwork was her favorite hobby with her 
latest passion being quilting. She spent most of her day creating many beautiful 
masterpieces which will be treasured forever.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First United Methodist Church, St. 
Francis de Sales Cathedral, Vandebilt Catholic High School or the American 
Cancer Society.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, at First United Methodist 
Church in Houma.

David Crochet, 83, a native and resident of Montegut, La., died Sunday, July 12, 
at 6 p.m.

He is survived by his two daughters, Mary Crochet Louviere and husband Gary of 
Houma, La., and Laurie Crochet Hyslop and husband David, of Tenafly, N.J.; and 
three grandchildren, Dr. Leah Gonsoulin Jacob, David Earl Gonsoulin and Jack 
Henry Hyslop.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Claudia "Tootsie" Guidry Crochet; his 
parents, Henry Joseph Crochet and Mary "Lottie" LeBouef Crochet; and one 
brother, Merlin P. Crochet.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. After his 39-year career with 
Texaco, he was appointed to the South Terrebonne Tidewater District (now the 
South Terrebonne Levee District) an organization whose work he felt passionate 
about. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a member of the Montegut 
Children's Carnival Club, VFW, American Legion, Knights of Columbus. He was a 
World War II veteran.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, at Chauvin Funeral Home 
and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass

Myra Frances Trahan, 59, a native and resident of Terrebonne Parish, La., died 
on Monday, July 13, at 10:45 a.m.

She is survived by her mother, Florence Marie Malbrough Trahan.

She was preceded in death by her father, John "J.C." Trahan; and one brother, 
Jimmy Trahan.

She was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. She graduated from 
Terrebonne High School, Nicholls State University with honors and from Loyola 
University with a graduate degree in Pastoral Theology. Myra worked for South 
Central Bell for nine years in New Orleans, La., but then returned to Terrebonne 
Parish where she worked at the School for Exceptional Children and at Coteau-
Bayou Blue School in human services and also tutored children after school. She 
was very active in the Catholic church serving as a commentator and lecturer at 
St. Francis de Sales Cathedral, as a choir member and also a Eucharistic 
minister. She was also a member of Les Amis de la Chanson. On the diocesan 
level, she was a reader for the LIMEX program in the Diocese's educational 
development office after completing four years of study with Loyola University. 
Myra was a loving, caring person who was beloved by all. She will be sorely 
missed by many.

Visitation will be 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, at Chauvin Funeral Home 
and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. 
Mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church with burial at St. Francis de Sales 
Cemetery No. 2.

She is survived by her son, Van Williams Jr. and wife Patty; two daughters, 
Lynda Williams Luke and husband Kevin, and Trudy Authement; one brother, Paul 
McNabb; six grandchildren, Jason, Brandon, Nicholas Williams, Katie Lynn and 
Jonathon Jones Jr. and Savanna Ruffin; and five great-grandchildren, Maicee 
Williams, Dylan, Ashtyn, Anjeyle Jones and Alyssa Ruffin.

She was preceded in death by her parents. William and Lizzy Runions McNabb; 
three brothers, James, Clarence and Mayburn McNabb; and one sister, Stella 
McNabb.

Joyce Price, Evelyn LeBouef, Sheryl Lee Nelton and Ruby Ann Pirtle; and four 
grandchildren, Alexis Ann Broussard, Brennan Chad Broussard, Ella Elizabeth 
Salazar and Emma Elise Salazar.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore Joseph Brunet and Ruby Bourg 
Brunet; two brothers, Edward Brunet and Barry Brunet; and one sister, Yvonne 
Pitre.

He received an engineering degree from Nicholls State University. He retired 
from the U.S. Air Force and served in Vietnam. He was a retired drilling and 
completion consultant with DJB Consultants. He will be watching over his 
children and grandchildren from heaven.

Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, at St. Ann Catholic 
Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at Terrebonne 
Memorial Park Cemetery in Houma.

employed by WalMart for 24 years. She was an avid gardener and reader and

Mona of Breaux Bridge, La., and Frank Bruce Lewis Jr. and wife Dana of Austin, 
Texas; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; Mary's three children, 
Vicky Bonvillain, Veronica Sampey and husband Troy and Emile Wille Bonvillain 
and wife Mellisa, all of Thibodaux; Mary's six grandchildren; two brothers, 
Grady Lewis of Ponca City, Okla., and Ray and wife Jutta Lewis of San Antonio, 
Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jane Guidry-Lewis of Breaux Bridge; 
father, William H. Lewis; mother, Lucille Robinson; and two brothers, Harvel 
Kindall and Bill J. Lewis.

His love for his family and friends was the most important thing in his life. He 
worked as a seismic consultant in oil and gas exploration for 54 years. He loved 
to cook and was a numismatic where he enjoyed coin collecting. He donated his 
body to the LSU School of Medicine hoping that even in death it would be of help 
to others. He was a friend to Bill W. for the last 17 years.

Eugene (Gene) A. Luc, 84, a native of Bay St. Louis, Miss., and a resident of 
Houma, La., died Thursday, July 23, at 4:58 p.m.

Luc; one daughter, Karen and husband Norman Dupre; one brother, D.J. Luc; one

He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Katie Dambarino Luc; four

He was a parishioner of St. Louis Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World 
War II. He retired from United Gas Pipelines after 37 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Laurentine Marcel Bergeron;

He was Catholic and a parishioner St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. He was a world 
traveler, a talented artist and extremely well read. "Leaves of Grass" by Walt 
Whitman was his favorite book, which was never far from his side. He loved to 
fish and garden.

Festival. He also enjoyed gardening and giving his vegetables to family and 
friends. He was a parishioner of St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Des Allemands.

Anthony Guidry; and one sister, Patsy Zeringue.

He served in the U.S. Air Force as a flight engineer and received an honorable 
discharge November 17, 1954. He was a member of the American Legion for 55 years 
and was also a life member. He served as Department Commander of the Department 
of Louisiana American Legion, Post Commander of Raceland Post 349, 3rd District 
Commander and on numerous committees. He was a member of the VFW and was also a

Grover Atson Nicely

Grover Atson Nicely, 92, a native of Crewe, Va., and a resident of Houma, La., 
died Monday, July 27.

He is survived by one grandson, Pete Brown; one grandniece, Melody Ogelsbee and 
family; and one grandnephew, Gus Brown.

He was widowed twice, to Hazel Saffell Nicely and Doris Miller Nicely. He was 
also preceded in death by two sisters, Florence and Sibby; and one brother, 
Pete.

He was formerly of Chauvin where he enjoyed playing pool each day at the senior 
center. He was most recently a long time resident of Terrebonne House in Houma. 
He moved to Louisiana from Maryland where he had worked as a plumber to be 
closer to family, near his grandson, Earl Brown. In his youth he kept a boat for 
his weekend fishing trips. He was in poor health recently, but maintained a 
sharp memory.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Terrebonne House for their excellent 
care and companionship, Bayou Medical Staffing for their friendship and 
attention, Journey Hospice of Houma and the staff of Chateau Terrebonne for 
their caring in his final days.

There are no services scheduled at this time.

"White" Fonseca Jr.; five sisters, Francis Camardelle, Linda Comardelle, Jane 
Fonseca, Hope Rhodes and Dale Fonseca; and eight grandchildren, Thomas Drews 
Jr., Trey Drews, Lori, Michelle, Blake, Matthew, Blaire and Jesse Fonseca.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Sr. and Blanche Frickey Fonseca; 
and two grandchildren, Baby Drews and Jude Fonseca.

He was a member of the Back to the '50's Jamaican Club.

Visitation will be 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, August 1, at St. Gertrude 
Catholic Church with mass to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Ivory Mae Brown "Teddy" Joseph, 57, a native and resident of Donaldsonville, 
La., died Sunday, July 26.

She is survived by her husband, Hardin Joseph of Donaldsonville; two daughters, 
Shannon and Sharon Joseph of Donaldsonville; mother, Ivory Brown of 
Donaldsonville; one sister, Lori Jackson of St. Gabriel, La.; and two brothers, 
Oliver Jr. and wife Stella Brown, and Leonard Brown of Donaldsonville.

She was preceded in death by her father, Oliver Brown Sr.; and one brother, Fred 
Brown.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, July 31, at Williams and Southall 
Funeral Home and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, August 1, at St. Catherine of 
Sienna Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with 
burial at Protestant Cemetery.

Lula Marie Franklin Leggett, 50, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and a 
resident of Schriever, La., died Wednesday July 29.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Leggett Sr.; mother, Rosedell Jackson 
Franklin; one son, Richard Leggett Jr. and wife Kajumi; two daughters, Joni 
Renee' Leggett and Lashawnna Leggett and fiance' Alvin; two brothers, Kerry 
Franklin and wife Amanda, and Terry Franklin and wife Cynthia; two sisters, 
Regina Franklin and Mary Ann Rilesand three grandchildren, Richard Leggett III, 
Lawyer Lavar Leggett and Kionte Alicia Leggett.

She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Lee Franklin; two brothers, 
Willie Lee Franklin Jr. and Kenny Franklin, Sr.; grandparents, Albertha 
Calloway, and Euarl and Lula Matthews; one nephew, Kenny Franklin Jr.; and 
mother-in-law, Ruby Walker.

She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She was a cheerleader coach for 
Schriever Stars & 4-H. She loved the Dallas Cowboys and planting flowers. She 
was employed by Terrebonne General Medical Center for 14 years as a CNA.

Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, August 3, at Mt. Olive Baptist 
Church in Gray, La., with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be at the 
church cemetery.

Laura Lee Frazier Perron, 75, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and a resident 
of Des Allemands, La., died Wednesday, July 29.

She is survived by her husband, Melvin Perron; three step-daughters, Shelene 
Walker, Rene Perron and Robin Crochet; three brothers, Aldridge, Eldon and Nolan 
Frazier; 11 step-grandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Irene Rome Frazier; four 
half-brothers, Louis, Claude, Lawrence and Lloyd Loupe; and two sisters, Ella 
Mae LeBouef and Mary Lee Oliver.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, July 31, at Sacred Heart Catholic 
Church in Cut Off, La., with mass to follow. Burial will be at Cheramie

Thelma Harris Redmond, 90, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and a resident of 
Thibodaux, La., died Friday, July 24.

She is survived by two daughters, Odette Keller and Gwendolyn Harding, both of 
Thibodaux, two godchildren, Carolyn Moore and David Zeno, both of Thibodaux; six 
grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Redmond; parents, Ben Sr. and 
Lizzie Harris; three brothers, Ben Harris Jr., Leonard Ruffin and Ike Harris; 
three sisters, Palestine Harris, Melvina Jackson and Kate Livas; and one 
grandson, Troy Keller.

She was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church where she served on the 
Deaconess Board. She was also a member of the choir.

A religious service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 1, at Morning Star 
Baptist Church on Johnson Ridge followed by burial at Blue Lilly Cemetery on 
Johnson Ridge.

Dwayne Fair.

Hosea Terry, 97, a native and resident of Napoleonville, La., died Saturday, 
July 25.

He is survived by one daughter, Gayle Jupiter of Napoleonville; two brothers, 
Wilbert Terry of Napoleonville and Richmond Terry of Houston, Texas; two 
sisters, Louvolia Pinkey of Napoleonville and Ida Deverney of New Orleans, La.; 
four grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Owens Terry; parents, Richard and 
Lucindy Terry; one daughter, Gwendolyn Robertson; one brother, Noyd Terry; three 
sisters, Albertha Washington, Almenia Ryans and Sadie Howard; and one grandson, 
Matthew Jupiter.

He was a trustee at Bright Morning Star Baptist Church and served many years as 
treasurer. He was a member of Mano Wise, American Legion Post No. 507, Household 
of Ruth, and the Israelite Benevolent Society.

Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, July 31, at Williams and Southall 
Funeral Home in Napoleonville and 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, August 1, at 
Bright Morning Star Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m.

Frank H. Williams Sr.

Frank H. Williams Sr., 86, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, 
July 30, at 11:10 a.m.

He is survived by four sons, Reuben and wife Dianne, Frank III, Kit and Stephen 
Williams; one daughter, Mary K. Williams; one brother, Earl Williams; eight 
grandchildren, Peter Matthew Williams, Seth, Amy, Sara and Elise Williams, 
Allison Bungard, Jennifer Zabierek and Michelle Matta; and four great-
grandchildren, Hanry and Benjamin Zabierek, Andrew Bungard and Brayden Verdin.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Corrine Boudreaux; and parents, Frank H.
Williams and Mary Bergeron Williams.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a D-Day survivor. He was a longtime auto 
salesman.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, August 2, and 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. 
Monday, August 3, at Falgout Funeral Home's Chapel. A religious service will be 
at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with entombment at St. Francis II 
Mausoleum.
