Mrs. Betty Lou Duhon Boudreaux, 69, a native of Maurice, La., and a resident of 
Houma, La., died Sunday, Nov. 1, at 11 a.m.

She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Boudreaux; daughters, Melanie (Timothy) 
Denais and Michele Broussard; step-children, Liz Edwards, Debbie (Rich) Strunk, 
Lisa Kotyk and Patrick Boudreaux; two grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 
sister, Agnes (Fred) Broussard; and brothers, Norman and Carroll Duhon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dulas and Rose Marie Faulk Duhon; and 
grandparents, Jedeonce and Agnes Faulk and Osta and Adana Duhon.

She was Catholic and a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. She was 
a member of Woman's Aglow, Friends and Family Book Club, Voices of the Lord 
Ministries and Come Lord Jesus. She was the most loyal, compassionate, 
generous, considerate, family oriented person that friends and family could 
ever ask for. She had a true love for life. She will be dearly missed by all.

Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 
1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Maurice. 
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the church with burial at 
the church cemetery.

Mr. Lloyd Henry Brown, 57, a native of Belle Rose, La., and a resident of 
Donaldsonville, La., died Thursday, Oct 29.

He is survived by his sons, Richie, Trevor, Tremaine and Marlon Desira, and 
Lloyd Lemon; brothers, Richie, Mickey, Stanley and Jerry Brown; sisters, Sylvia 
and Emelda Brown, Ruth (Irvin) Fleming, Peggy White, Jennifer Bell, Shirley 
Williams, Sheila Cassie and Anthanette (Raymond) Thomas; and many 
grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Sr. and Emelda M. Brown; 
brother, Clarence Brown Jr.; and nephew, Wayne Joseph Brown.

Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. 
Tuesday, Nov. 3, at Williams & Southall Funeral Home in Donaldsonville. A

Ms. Bonnie Ann Duplantis, 66, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Sunday, 
Nov. 1.

She is survived by her mother, Pearl Lirette Duplantis; and sisters, Patricia 
(Gary) Brunet and Millie (Mike) Wren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jeffrey Duplantis; brother, David 
Duplantis; and grandparents, Henry and Lillie LeBoeuf Lirette and Armand and 
Mildred Lambert Duplantis.

She was a retired payroll clerk and bookkeeper for the Terrebonne Parish 
Sheriff's Office.

grandson, Michael Griffin.

She was a parishioner of St. Hilary Catholic Church and a member of the Council

sisters, Martha Savoie and Hilda (Steve) Didier; and brother, Mannuel (Karen) 
Blanchard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Preston and Hilda Dumont Blanchard; 
daughter, Donna Blanchard Prince; sisters, Evelyn Blanchard and Hazel Acosta; 
and brother, Terry Blanchard.

He was retired from the oilfield business. He was Catholic and a parishioner of 
St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. He was a 3rd degree Knight in the Knights of 
Columbus. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was loved by many 
and will be missed.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, and 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. 
Wednesday, Nov. 4, at Chauvin Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 10

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Sr. and Clothilde; sisters, 
Eula and Betty; and step-children, Randy and Diane.

of Columbus and a lifetime member of DAV and VFW.

She worked at the Terrebonne Parish Clerk of Court for 18 years. She was

enjoyed gardening and received Garden of the Month twice.

La., died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009 at 2:04 a.m.

He is survived by his wife, Murrel Landry Kees; son Craig (Mary Jo) Kees; 
daughter, Gay (Ken) Lawrence; seven grandchildren; and seven great-
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents John R. and Ada Emerick Kees; and 
brothers, Donald and Elwood Kees.

He served Thibodaux and the surrounding area as the owner and operator of Landry 
and Thibodaux Funeral Homes. He was the past president of the Thibodaux Lions 
Club and the Louisiana Funeral Directors Association and served as a board 
member on the Louisiana State Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors. He was 
past Grand Marshal of the Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Department and was a World 
War II U.S. Navy veteran.

Visitation will be 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5 and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. 
Friday, Nov. 6 at Thibodaux Funeral Home's Chapel. A religious service will be

was an organ donor and benefited four lives from her donation. She was a notary

Oasis Shrine Club and the Order of the Eastern Star, A.W. Connolly Chapter #117. 
He was Catholic.

grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Sr. and Serena King Theriot; 
daughter, Arlena Dupre; brother, Normal Theriot; and one grandchild.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a loving father, husband and grandfather who 
loved motorcycles and camping.

Mr. Ronald Lee Blum, 73, a native of Marshall, Mo., and a resident of Thibodaux, 
La., died Friday, Nov. 13, 2009 at 8 p.m.

He is survived by his wife, Eleonore Stark Blum; sons, Butch and Robert (Anita) 
Blum; daughter, Caroline (Fred Jr.) Hebert; and one granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Vaunciel Fowler Blum.

He was a retired Master Sergeant for the U.S. Army with 22 years of service. He 
was awarded four Bronze Stars, two Purple Hearts and numerous other medals while 
serving two tours of duty in Vietnam. Following his military service, he worked 
for Winn Dixie for 20 years. Later he enjoyed working part time at L&N Food 
Store, bowling and celebrating Oktoberfest with his family.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to local veterans' associations and the 
Humane Society.

Ms. Marie Servino Bergeron, 75, a native of Memphis, Tenn., and a resident of 
Thibodaux, La., died Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Anna Allain Bergeron; granddaughter, 
Lauren (Matthew) Lynch; grandson, Mark (Ashley) LeMaire; and three great-
grandchildren, Anna Kate, Noah, and Charlotte Lynch

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil J. Bergeron; son Cecil J. 
Bergeron Jr.; parents Charlie and Callie Servino; and brother John Servino.

She was born August 12, 1934 in Memphis, Tenn., to Italian immigrants. As a 
young child, she listened to the radio while information was given during World 
War II, and it was then that she decided she would be in radio when she grew up. 
After graduating from Sacred Heart High School, she attended the School of Radio 
and Television Broadcasting in Memphis. In November 1954 she was hired as a 
"Girl Friday" at KTIB radio in Thibodaux to help with office work, writing and 
scheduling commercials. It was in that first year that she learned about news 
and emergency situations, and how to broadcast the information to her listeners. 
In 1968 Marie left Thibodaux to work in Houma at KHOM radio, but only stayed a 
few months. She was sent back to Thibodaux to cover news for the area. When 
LaTerr Broadcasting purchased KTIB in the early 1980's she was named station 
manager for both stations. Her work on the radio helped keep the community 
informed, through her daily talk show "Dialogue", and particularly during 
disastrous hurricanes when radio broadcast for 24-hour periods. During her 
career she interviewed numerous governors, congressmen, local politicians, as 
well as celebrities such as Delta Burke, B.B. King and Elvis Presley. It should 
also be noted that well known television broadcasters Margaret Dubuisson, Dave 
McNamara and Sue Poye were all protˇgˇs of Marie. She was extremely involved 
with her community helping with many events and fundraisers for needy causes 
such as the Cancer and Heart Societies, the American Red Cross and the Lafourche 
Historical Society. She was a member of the board of directors of the Thibodaux 
Chamber of Commerce, a Hall of Fame Crusader against Cancer of the Lafourche 
Unit of the American Red Cross, and a Senior Mayor of the Day for the City of 
Thibodaux. She was honored to be a recipient of the BPW Woman of the Year Award, 
the Frank Kennedy Award, the Chamber Government Award and the Lifetime 
Achievement Award in the Broadcasting presented by the Louisiana Association of 
Broadcasters. A number of years after her retirement from radio broadcasting, 
she chose to become a resident of St. Joseph's Manor Assisted Living in 
Thibodaux where she lived until August of this year. When medical issues became 
a concern, she moved to Lafayette, La., to be closer to her daughter-in-law.

Pallbearers will be Mark LeMaire, Matthew Lynch, Farrell Gillespie, Donald 
Dugas, Richard Lairscey and Richard Melancon.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, at St. Joseph's Co-
Cathedral in Thibodaux with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Interment will 
follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Thibodaux.

Bourg, Louisiana died November 18, 2009.

He is survived by his wife, Velma Sanders; daughters, Lisa (Timmy) Darcey and 
Stacy (Myron) McElroy; son, Louis Valure III; sisters, Della Prejean, Dianne 
Campbell, Kathy Whited, Sandra Bergeron and Debra Value; brothers, Chester and 
Ronnie Valure; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was the owner of Valure Electricial and Air Conditioning. He served in the 
U.S. Marine Corps. He was Catholic and a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church. 
He loved fishing, traveling and work, but most of all spending time with his 
family.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at Chauvin Funeral Home 
and 9 a.m. to service time Friday, Nov. 20, at St. Ann Catholic Church with Mass

and a the Terrebonne High School Class of 1942 which still meets monthly for 
lunch. She was a mall walker, having walked over 2000 miles.

12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic 
Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church with 
burial at the church cemetery.

Ms. Mazie Theriot Domangue, 91, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and a 
resident of Chauvin, La., died Friday, Nov. 27, 2009 at 8:40 p.m.

She is survived by her daughters, Bertha (Warren) Fanguy and Lorraine Bergeron; 
son, Herbert (Fay) Domangue Jr.; brother, Sidney Theriot Jr.; 14 grandchildren; 
five step-grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.

She was Catholic and a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin. She 
was a homemaker and loving mother.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, at St. Joseph Catholic 
Church with mass to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Mr. Johnny Joseph Fabregas Jr., 83, a native and resident of Houma, La., died 
Friday, Nov. 27, 2009 at 11:25 a.m.

He is survived by his daughter, Sharon (Clifton Jr.) Zeringue; four 
grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was Catholic and a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. 

He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family and friends. He never met a stranger, for his door was always open to anyone. He selflessly enjoyed 
cooking for others at his own expense for the mere pleasure of watching the 
enjoyment of his food by others. He often enjoyed spending time with his 
grandsons at the local casinos and attending seafood boils in Pierre Part. He 
will be greatly missed by the family and friends he leaves behind.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 30, at Chauvin Funeral Home 
with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be at St. Francis de Sales 
Cemetery #1.
