Irving C. "Chine" Bruce, 77, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Galliano, 
died Wednesday, June 9, 2010.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at 
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off. Mass will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at St. 
Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano, with burial in Cheramie Cemetery.

He is survived by two sons, Jimmy Bruce and wife, Jantira, and Scotty Bruce; two 
stepsons, Toby Martin and wife, Roxanne, and Bobby Johnson and wife, Janet; one 
daughter, Grace Michelle Larochelle; 17 grandchildren; and 11 great-
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gilda Ledet Bruce; his parents, Octave and 
Armise Rousse Bruce; one stepdaughter, Gayla Martin; three brothers, Freddie 
Bruce, Griven Bruce and Louis Bruce; four sisters, Louise Duet, Isabelle Bruce, 
Alzina Hodge and Evelyn Autin.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
