Lovinia T. Chiasson, 84, a native and resident of Chackbay, died Monday, June 
21, 2010.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Our Lady of Prompt 
Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay. Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the 
church, with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by two sons, Hilton J. Chiasson Jr. and wife, Daisy, and Ronald 
P. Chiasson and wife, Judy; one daughter, Patty C. Duet and husband, Wallace; 
one sister, Rerna T. Weber; six grandchildren, Lance Chiasson, Leslie Morvant, 
Chad Chiasson, Keith Chiasson, Angela C. Cortez and Hilton J. Chiasson III; and 
16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hilton J. Chiasson Sr.; one son, Kevin 
J. Chiasson; her parents, John Trosclair and Armance "Nu Nun" Clement Trosclair; 
and two brothers, Willis "Poto" Trosclair and Junius "Buck" Trosclair.

She was a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church, past member of the Ladies 
Altar Society and loved praying the rosary. She was a loving mother and 
grandmother and will be missed dearly.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
