Daniel Davis Jr., 68, a native of Raceland and resident of Baton Rouge, died 
Wednesday, June 16, 2010.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Morning Star Baptist 
Church in Raceland. Service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with 
burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Diana Davis of Baton Rouge; one son, Kaywood Bryant 
and wife, Ashanta, of Baton Rouge; two stepsons, Shavon Thomas and Paul Thomas 
of Baton Rouge; two daughters, Danielle Davis of Baton Rouge and Karen Harris 
and husband, Theron, of Paradis; one stepdaughter, Reneisha Thomas of Baton 
Rouge; four sisters, Ruby Every, Brenda Harris and Sonia Davis of Raceland, and 
Betty Huggins and husband, Desmond, of Ellenwood, Ga.; and three brothers, 
Howard Davis and wife, Audrey, Joseph Davis and wife, Connie, and Anthony Davis 
and wife, Carrie, all of Raceland.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Davis Sr. and Dorothy Davis; one 
daughter, Kathleen Davis; one brother, Kenneth Davis; one grandson, Daniel 
O'Bryan Davis; and his grandparents, Cora Jones and Elizabeth Brown.

He was Baptist and a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran.

Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
