Doris Mae Dennis, 69, a native of Houma and resident Terrebonne Parish, died 
Wednesday, June 16, 2010.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Mechanicville Emmanuel 
Baptist Church, 2709 Senator St. in Houma. Service will be 11 a.m. at the 
church, with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by two sons, David Dennis and wife, Tammie, and Joseph Dennis 
and Gloriann; one daughter, Patricia Poole Elliot; 10 grandchildren; and two 
great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leola Butler and step-father, Johnes 
English Sr.; one son, Gregory Dennis; one brother, Johnes English Jr.; one 
sister, Leontine English; and her grandparents, Albert and Loretta Dickerson.

She was a member of Mechanicville Emmanuel Baptist Church and she was a 
homemaker.

Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
