Leona Collins Duet, 83, a native of Chenier and resident of Larose, died at 3:25 
a.m. Friday, June 4, 2010.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Our Lady of the 
Rosary Catholic Church in Larose. Mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, 
with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by two daughters, Mona Edwards and Gwendolyn Angelette; three 
grandchildren, Michelle Angelette, Gary Michael Angelette and Adam Guidry; seven 
great-grandchildren, Brett Angelette, Jacob Wiltz, Mamie Wiltz, Loren Angelette, 
Nathan Angelette, Angel Matherne and Alex Guidry; and two sisters, Leonise Smith 
and Katie Cheramie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Joseph Duet; her parents, 
Armise and Leonise Ancalade Collins; three brothers, Paurise Collins, Juan 
Collins and Roger Collins and five sisters, Annie Zeringue, Delta Bryant, Amy 
Dantin, Ruth LeBlanc, Vergis Boudreaux and Margie Collins.

She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
