Marquis "Shorty" Dupre, 85, a native of Pointe-aux-Chenes and resident of 
Theriot, died Wednesday, June 9, 2010.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic 
Church in Chauvin. Mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in 
the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel Duprie Dupre; two brothers, Willard Naquin and 
Alvin Naquin; and three sisters, Julia Adams, Dora Lee Authement and Marie Hunt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Felicia Dupre; six brothers, 
Allen, Murphey, Victor, Lionel, T.J. and Philip; and six sisters, Aline, 
Victoria, Lucille, Pauline, Helen and Hazel.

Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.
