Eldon "Sant" Paul Foret Sr., 77, a native and resident of Chauvin, died at 1:30 
a.m. Monday, June 7, 2010.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time 
Wednesday at Samart Funeral Home of Houma. Service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at 
the funeral home, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Chauvin.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marjorie Authement Foret; two sons, 
Eldon P. Foret Jr. and wife, Robin, and Don Foret; two daughters, Kathy Lirette 
and husband, Scotty, and Kate Antee and husband, Chris; three sisters, Velma 
Dehart, Bertha Pellegrin and husband, Ray, and Bella Sevin; one sister-in-law, 
Lois Foret; 12 grandchildren, Christy Chauvin, Angie Landry, Jamie Pinell, Ron 
Antee, Shantell Henry, Hannah Lirette, Jessica Avet, Belinda Foret, Tyler 
Lirette, David Foret, Tyler Trahan and Austin Bonvillain; and 24 great-
grandchildren, Trevor Pinell, Alyssia Boudreaux, Brooke Antee, Jie Boudreaux, 
Bryce Antee Rainey Landry, Kylee Porche, Evyn Molinere, Ethan Pinell, Desiree 
Foret, Caitlyn Antee, Spencer Cunningham, Jayce Landry, Kade Foret, Ava 
Molinere, Morgan Chauvin, Sebastian Lirette, Nicholas Henry Jr., Laine Foret, 
Jakub Avet, Jaxen Avet, Jonah Lirette, Arsen Holly, Gage Rau and Max Arceneaux.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Toussaint and Winona Authement Foret; 
two sons, Timmy and Chris Foret; one daughter, Belanda Foret; one great-
granddaughter, Destiny Pellegrin; four brothers, Brownell, Percy, Aaron and 
Russell Foret; two brothers-in-law, Douglas Dehart and Junius Sevin; and two 
sisters-in-law, Regina and Rita Foret.

Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.
