Merlin James Gaudet, 66, a native and resident of Raceland, died at 5:30 a.m. 
Sunday, June 27, 2010.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic 
Church in Raceland. Mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in 
the church cemetery.

He is survived by his mother, Velma S. Gaudet; one son, Thomas Gaudet; one 
daughter, Rebecca Gaudet Guidry; three grandchildren, Benton Thomas Gaudet, 
Jenna Nicole Guidry and Jake Paul Caillouet; and one brother, Ruben J. Gaudet.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edgar L. Gaudet; two sons, Nick Charles 
Gaudet and Merlin J. Gaudet Jr.; and one sister, Linda Ann G. Foret.

Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
