Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time today at Samart Funeral Home of Houma. Service will be 11 a.m. today at the funeral home, with burial at Rogers Cemetery in Houma. He is survived by his wife, Betty Scott Gautreaux; two sons, Russell J. Gautreaux Jr. and wife, Sandy, and Noah A. Gautreaux and wife, Mary; two daughters, Angelita Authement and fiance, David Vela, and Camilie Robichaux and husband, Alex; one brother, Leroy Gautreaux and wife, Marian; eight grandchildren, Angie Billiot, Andy Gautreaux, Eric Gautreaux, Erica Navarre, Justin Gautreaux, Christopher G. Authement, Sara Gautreaux and Joshua "Jocko" Belanger; four great-grandchildren, Aaron J. "JJ" Billiot Jr., Anthony "Tony Bug" Billiot, Angella Billiot and Shawn "Tootie" Meire; three stepsisters, Viola Carrere, Wilma Domangue and Wilda Farkes; one stepbrother, Wilton "Buck" Trahan; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah and Helen Ledet Gautreaux; one brother, Roland Gautreaux; three sisters, Margaret Gautreaux, Thelma Ordoyne and Velma White; and one godchild, Chester White. He worked for Otto Candies and he was a retired fisherman. He loved God, his family, his John Deere tractor and his "Tootie Bug." He kept his sense of humor to the end and will be missed by all.
