Betty Walter Ingerman, 83, a native and resident of Houma, died at 5:15 p.m. 
Thursday, June 10, 2010.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Living Word Church. A 
memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial at Ferndale 
Memorial Cemetery in Ferndale, Fla.

She is survived by one daughter, Karen Truax and husband, Stephen III of 
Houston; two brothers, John Walton of Geismer and Roy Walton of Killeen, Texas; 
five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Earl Walton and Bertha Chute 
Walton; one daughter, Carol Ann Ingerman; one brother, Paul Walton; and three 
sisters, Ruth W. Austin, Lorraine W. Collins and Carolyn Walton.

She was a member of the Living Word Church of Houma.

Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.
