Ella Breaux Ledet, 87, a native of Gheens and resident of Raceland, died on 
Thursday, June 24, 2010.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in 
Raceland and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Hilary of Poitiers 
Catholic Church. Mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial at 
Holy Savior Catholic Cemetery in Lockport.

She is survived by three sons, Ronnel Ledet and wife, Cynthia, Chester Ledet 
Jr., and wife, Jenell, and Buddy Ledet; her son-in-law, Junius Chiasson; two 
daughters, Julie L. Legendre and husband, Carroll Jr., and Onita Ford and 
husband, Frank; two brothers, Nolan "Black" Breaux and Roland "Te-Nah" Breaux; 
two sisters, Mildred "Meloo" Breaux and Clara "Putchie" Bergeron; 13 
grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Chester J. Ledet Sr.; her 
parents, Pierre and Leonise Falgout Breaux; two daughters, Judy Ledet Chiasson 
and Trudy Ledet; four brothers, Lawrence "Te-Law" Breaux, Leon Breaux, Charles 
Breaux, and Roy "White" Breaux; and three sisters, Agnes Breaux, Irene Breaux 
and Louise Perry.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
