Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Community Funeral Home. Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with burial in Mechanicville Emmanuel Baptist Church Cemetery. He is survived by his mother, Louella Williams Holly of Raceland; his stepmother, Mary B. Nixon of Houma; one son, Chester Nixon III of Houma; three daughters, Khalilah N. Ramirez and Qiana Nixon of San Jose, Calif., and Kedra N. Gant and husband, Julius Gant of Atlanta; three brothers, Darnell Nixon, Clark Nixon and Cassius Nixon and wife, Shawanna of Houma; two sisters, Penny N. Stewart and husband, Lester of Houma, and Lisa Seruggs and husband, Gaylon of Texas; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Nixon Sr.; his stepfather, Washington "T. T." Holly; one brother, Leross Nixon; and his maternal and paternal grandparents. He was a cement finisher for C. Nixon Cement and Trucking. Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. ===================
