Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Friday, at Temple of Praise. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Temple of Praise, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. She is survived by two daughters, Iris Parsons Webre and husband, Robert, of Bourg, and Cheryl Parsons Cormier and husband, E.J., of Alvin, Texas; one son, William Hugh Parsons and wife, Yvonne, of City of Central; one brother, Jacob Easterly of Dothan, Ala.; three sisters, Jessie Farabee of Punta Gorda, Fla., Eldora Walker of Brownswood, Texas, and Nada Thigpen of Ortona, Fla.; 14 grandchildren, Dwayne and Karla Webre, Dana Webre, Damon and Mary Webre, Darla and Adam Leonard, Eddie and Annette Cormier, Jimi Cormier, Jada and Brad Langer, Steven and Anna Robichaux, Branham Bergeron, Doyle and Rebecca Parsons, Blaine and Jodi Parsons, Barbara and Garen Stanley, William Jr. and Autumn Parsons Brian and Debbie Parsons; 25 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Clifton Parsons; her parents, Charles Jacob Easterly and Daisy Townsend Easterly; one daughter, Sandra Parsons; one son, Cecil Clifton Parsons Jr.; five brothers, Eddie Easterly, William Easterly, Robert Easterly, Tivis Easterly and Seldon Easterly; four sisters, Lillian Hett, Mable Lane, Nell Miller and Juanita Williams; and one granddaughter, Susan Robichaux. Her greatest joy was family, friends, gardening and flowers. She will be fondly remembered for a godly life, laughter, lemon pies, sock it to me cakes, pork roasts and greens. We would like to thank her care givers Tessie Percel, Joyce Brian, and Teresa Ferriera and to express our appreciation to the staff of Saint Joseph Hospice.
