Kate Rose, 81, a native Raceland and resident of Lockport, died Wednesday, June, 
16, 2010.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Third Zion Baptist 
Church in Raceland. Service will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with 
burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by one son, John Rose and wife, Carolyn of Houston; two 
daughters, Ann Folse and husband, Henry, of Long Beach, Calif., and Irene 
Johnson and husband, Eugene of Lockport; one brother, Johnny Boyd Jr. and wife, 
Margaret of Thibodaux; one stepbrother, Hezekiah Triggs and wife, Dorothy of 
Thibodaux; one sister, Jeanetta Gray of Vacherie; and 12 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hazie Rose Jr.; her parents, Johnny 
Boyd Sr. and Lommie Boyd; six sisters, Ora Mae Folse, Kathleen Jackson, Ethel 
Robinson, Ida Batiste, Estelle Boyd and Olivia Boyd; and four brothers, Aubry 
Boyd, Richmond Boyd Sr., Ernest Boyd and Eddie Boyd.

She was Baptist.
