Eugene "Lighting" Spencer, 49, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of 
Houma, died Friday, June 4, 2010.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Community Funeral 
Home. Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with burial in 
Southdown Cemetery.

He is survived by his companion, LaTasha Henderson; his parents, Geraldine 
Spencer and Elsee Spencer Sr.; four daughters, Anitra Amacker, Genese, Jazmine 
and Ta'Gena Spencer; six brothers, Elsee Spencer Jr., Phillip Spencer, Vincent 
Spencer, Zedrick Spencer, Fred Spencer and Leroyal Spencer; and six sisters, 
Rosetta Joseph, Rene Mitchell, Regina VanBuren, Delores Spencer, Jackie Harvey 
and Tanya Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Olivia Johnson Azema and 
Lionel Azema; and his paternal grandparents, Fred Spencer and Rosetta Coleman 
Spencer.

He was Baptist and he was a self employed upholstery worker.

Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
