Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. She is survived by three daughters, Linda Talbot of Houma, Cammie Talbot Chachere of Baton Rouge and Lisa Talbot Barnett of San Diego; six grandchildren, Scott McCoy, Kelli McCoy Grzenia, Kim Carrere Hall, Chris Hebert, Timothy Hebert and Doug E. Barnett; 11 great-grandchildren, John McCoy III, Marrisa McCoy, Katie McCoy, Jacob Perkins, Steven Perkins, Austin Grzenia, Katelyn Hall, Brody Hall, Ethan Hebert, Timothy Hebert Jr. and Trevor Hebert and four great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lineus J. Lapeyrouse and Angelina Lombardo Lapeyrouse; one grandson, John McCoy Jr.; two great-grandsons, Cody and Matthew McCoy; three sisters, Lucille Lapeyrouse Allen, Estelle Lapeyrouse Chauvin and Irene Lapeyrouse Pahlke; four brothers, Theodore Lapeyrouse, Earl Lapeyrouse, Rene Lapeyrouse and Amos Lapeyrouse; and one half brother, Junius Lapeyrouse. Rita was an avid golfer and won many tournaments over the years, at both Ellendale and the Houma Golf Club. She also enjoyed playing the piano and singing. She remained the nucleus of her family and will be greatly missed. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. ===================
