Mass was held 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Eloi Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by three sons, Eugene Theriot, Jr. and wife, Cathy, Philip Theriot, all of Houma, Victor Theriot and wife, Susan, of South Carolina; six daughters, Sylvia Theriot, Linda Theriot Collins and husband, Eugene, Rebecca Gautreaux and husband, Ivan, Janet Massey and husband, David, Roberta Schulte and husband, Jerome, Prissy Luke and husband, Kevin, all of Houma; two brothers, Roland Theriot and wife, Maxine, Clayton Theriot and wife, Jerri; three sisters, Gladys Theriot, Jennette Leo and husband, Ralph and Gloria Verrett; 41 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Iris Theriot and three sons-in-law, Sterling Authement, David Percle and Loney Grabert. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leona Tivet Theriot; his parents, Emelian Theriot Sr. and Francine Champagne Theriot; one son, Francis Theriot; three daughters, Mary Elaine Authement, Earline Jackson and Patricia Grabert; six brothers, Nolan, Ralph, Linwood, Emeline Jr., Alfred and John Theriot; five sisters, Margie Bonvillian, Ella Mae Porche, Blanche Ardoin, Nell Bourg and Cellina Theriot; and one granddaughter, Jenna Theriot. He was a retired boat captain and a parishioner of St. Eloi Catholic Church. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. ===================
