Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today and 8 a.m. until service time Monday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. She is survived by her husband, Antoine Verdin; four sons, Joseph Verdin and wife, Monique, Raymond Verdin, Kenneth Verdin and Glen Verdin and companion, Lawanna; two daughters, Delta Verret and husband, Anthony, and Bernie Verret and husband, Edward; 10 grandchildren, Christi Fanguy and husband, Nuggie, Shawna Guidry, Jonathan Verdin, Chelsie Verdin, Brittney Verret, Tammy Adams, Timmy Adams, Glen Verdin Jr., Jude Verret and Joseph Verdin Jr.; six great- grandchildren; and two sisters, Lorena William and Mary Nesmith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charley Smith and Josephine Marie Verdin Smith; two sons, Calvin Verdin and Mark Verdin; two daughters, Mary Ann Verdin and Rita Ann Verdin; four sisters, Eva Verdin, Jeanette Breaux, Irene Verdin and Evelina "Bessie" Hood; five brothers, Paul Smith, Lawrence Smith, Sidney Smith, Joseph Smith and Howard Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of Grand Caillou Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, Va., 22312.
