Marion "M.O." Young, 87, a native of Drumwright, Okla., and former resident of 
Houma and resident of Farmerville, died Wednesday, June 16, 2010.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 
2.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Young; one son, John Young and wife, Lorie; 
four daughters, Gail Stoddard, Della Toups and husband, Matt, Nancy Varisco and 
companion, Karl Traylor, and Robin Nguyen and husband, Chung; 10 grandchildren; 
and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Evelyn Young; one great-
grandchild, Lane Young; his first wife, Dorothy Ross Young; and one brother, 
Muriel Young.

He retired from Texaco. He was a lifetime member of the Masons, a World War II 
submarine veteran and loved to fish and travel.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
