Doris Ida Hymel Aucoin, 89, a native of Chackbay and a resident of Amelia, 
passed away Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at St. Andrew 
Catholic Church in Amelia. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday 
at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by three sons, Gregory Aucoin of Morgan City, Blane Aucoin and 
wife, Susan of Morgan City, Thane Aucoin and wife, Sunya of Morgan City; one 
daughter, Cynthia Aucoin of Morgan City; eight grandchildren, Mary Frances 
Aucoin, Emma Aucoin, Ryan Aucoin, Erin Aucoin, Amy Desormeaux, Alyse Aucoin, 
Austin Aucoin and Nicholas Lirette; two great-grandchildren, Tate Aucoin and 
Rhett Desormeaux; and one sister Beatrice Easley.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Aucoin; her parents, Walter 
and Emma Hymel: one son, Joseph Aucoin; four sisters; and three brothers.

Twin City Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
