BLANCHARD, WALTER 

Walter Pierre Blanchard, 87, a native of Klotzville and resident of Baton Rouge, 
died at 7:20 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 2010 at home.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at St. Alphonsus 
Catholic Church. Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with 
interment at Resthaven.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Blanchard; one daughter, Sandra Waguespack and 
husband, Clyde; and two sons, Ray Blanchard and wife, Donna, and Don Blanchard 
and wife, Donna; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dalbert and Lucille Blanchard; two 
brothers; and three sisters.

He was a security guard with Exxon refinery. He was a veteran of the U.S. Coast 
Guard.

Resthaven Funeral Home of Baton Rouge is in charge of arrangements.
