Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Genevieve Catholic Church, with interment in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. today in Martin & Castille's Downtown Location. The family requests that visitation be observed from 5 to 10 p.m. today and will continue from 8 a.m. to funeral time Friday. The Rev. Thomas Habetz, Associate Pastor of St. Genevieve Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Nicole Bourque and Kelly Bourque Vaughn. Giftbearers will be Nicole Bourque, Kelly Bourque Vaughn and Carla Polk. Jodi Bollich, organist and soloist, will sing for the services, "Amazing Grace," "Ave Maria," "J'irai la voir un jour" and "On Eagles' Wings." She is survived by three sons, Raywood Bourque and his wife, Gale, of Centerville, Warren Bourque and wife, Katie, of Houma and Kent Bourque and wife, Linda, of Breaux Bridge; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two sisters, Velta Choate of Abbeville and Arlene Breaux of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Oscar Bourque, Sr.; one son, Oscar "Frenchie" Bourque, Jr.; her parents, Jean and Lucille Roy Breaux; one brother, Claudis Breaux; and one sister, Lelia Hargrave. A native of Cossinade and resident of Lafayette for most of her life, Mrs. Bourque was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great- grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her. She was a member of the St. Genevieve Catholic Church community, served meals for the Council on Aging for 20 years and spent many years as a volunteer for St. Vincent de Paul. Mrs. Bourque enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing in her spare time. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and visiting with friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Pallbearers will be Myron Bourque, Vaughn Bourque, Troy Bourque, Chad Bourque, Dave Bourque, Kory Bourque and Kevin Bourque.
