Mark Alton Caperton, 58, of San Antonio, four blocks from the Alamo, died 
Friday, July 23, 2010.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Southern Heritage 
Funeral Home, 475 Cahaba Valley Rd., Pelham, Ala. 35124, phone (205) 988-3511. 
Service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home followed by a 
reception at their home.

He is survived by his wife, Janie Caperton; two daughters, Caroline Caperton and 
Marissa Williams and husband, Chris; two brothers, Troy Caperton and Byron 
Talbot; one sister, Rosine Carter and husband, Stuart; and numerous cousins and 
special friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Bobbie Caperton.

"T Boy" loved life, golf and good times. He was the first president of the 
American Junior Quarter Horse Association and was an AQHA judge and NCHA judge 
for 25 years. His passion for horses led him to the love of his life, Janie. He 
was a devout Christian, as well as an amazing husband, father and friend. Mark 
will be dearly missed. Our lives will never be the same without him.
