John Joseph Danos, 72, a native and resident of Cut Off, died Saturday, July 17, 
2010.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic 
Church. Mass will be noon at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Anna Jane Callais Danos; one son, John 
J. Danos Jr. and wife, Erin; three daughters, Margaret Danos, Annette Danos, and 
Meagan Danos; one sister, Shirley Balser; and five grandchildren, Lauren, Cydney 
Soignet, Emily, Isabelle, Luke Danos.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donatien and Nola Danos; one brother, 
Dan Danos; and one sister, Rita Callais.

John Danos was a loving husband and father, and educator in Lafourche Parish 
Schools for 38 years, a cattleman and loyal friend. He believed in public 
service-serving on both the Lafourche Parish Council and Lafourche Parish School 
Board. He was also a 4th degree Knight and served as Grand Knight of Knights of 
Columbus Council 3150.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for 
masses.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
