Don Leon Gary, 67, a native of Houma and resident of Thibodaux, entered into 
eternal rest on Tuesday, June 29, 2010.

Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Resthaven Funeral 
Home, 11187 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge. A memorial service will be held 6:30 
p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home conducted by Deacon Drea Capaci.

He is survived by three daughters, Denise Doyle, Donna Garner and Risa Garner; 
and two siblings, Leon Gary Jr. of Baton Rouge and Lolita "Girlie" Gary of 
Metairie.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leon Gary Sr.; and his mother, Lolita 
Theriot Gary of Baton Rouge.

Don taught geography at Nicholls State University for more than 30 years. He was 
an avid gardener and loved flowers. He had a leadership role in numerous 
projects to benefit his community through the Thibodaux Lion's Club, Jaycees and 
the Chamber of Commerce.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the local Humane Society "Hope for Animals," 
P.O.Box 1341 Thibodaux, LA 70302 are preferred.

Resthaven Funeral Home of Baton Rouge is in charge of arrangements.
