Nellie M. Gros, 95, a native and resident of Chackbay, died Saturday, July 24, 
2010.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Our Lady of Prompt 
Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay. Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at 
the church, with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by one son, Lyle Gross Sr.; one daughter, Carol G. Luquette and 
husband, Eddie; six grandchildren, Darlene Clement, Lesley Robichaux, Vicki 
Luquette, Lyle "Jay" Gross Jr., Michelle Billingsley and Darryl Gross; and 17 
great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry A. Gross Jr.; her parents, 
Robert Martin and Clemilia Trosclair Martin; three brothers, Harris, Wilbert and 
Joseph Martin; and five sisters, Lena Mae Blanchard, Ester Rodrigue, Elma Diaz, 
Gertie Chiasson and Ada Rodrigue.

Nellie was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
