Wanda St. Romain Hitt, 84, a native of Raceland and resident of Houma, passed 
away Friday, July 23, 2010.

Visitation was from 9 a.m. to funeral time today at St. Mary's Nativity Catholic 
Church in Raceland. Mass was held at noon today at the church, with interment in 
the church cemetery.

She is survived by five sons, Lawson Hitt and wife, Mae, John Hitt and companion 
Christa Fink, James Hitt and wife, Penny, Charles Hitt and wife, Crystal, and 
David Hitt and wife, Melinda; four daughters, Karen Hunter and husband, Bobby, 
Anne Hitt and companion, Alphonse LeBlanc, Jane Falgout and companion, Richard 
Motley, and Mary Hitt; two sisters, Lydia Hitt and Rita Robichaux; two brothers, 
Martin St. Romain and Richard St. Romain;16 grandchildren, Jennifer, Elizabeth, 
Shaun, Harry, Mason, Maria, Jessica, Jacob, Erica, Ashley, Zachary, Alex, James 
II, Dane, Chelsea and Carl; and 10 great-grandchildren, Skyler, Eli, Brice, 
Katie, Hayden, Connor, Devyn, Joel, Joshua and Mylie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Lawson Hitt; her parents, Martin 
St. Romain and Rita Guidry St. Romain; and two sisters, Myrtle St. Romain and 
Pansy St. Romain.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Plaisance Center in Lockport.

Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
