Cathy Marie "Bird" James, 52, a native of Terrebonne Parish and a resident of 
Houma, died Wednesday, July 21, 2010.

Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at New Vision Baptist Church, 
1949 La. 182 in Raceland. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at 
the church, with burial in Woodlawn Ranch Cemetery.

She is survived by two daughters, Akisha Davis Turner and Watkisha Renee James; 
three brothers, Larry L. James, Michael L. James and Robert L. James; one 
sister, Ruby M. Wright; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lillie W. James and Robert Lee 
Jackson; and her grandparents, Usie and Emily Williams.

She attended New Vision Baptist Church. She was a seamstress and a hair stylist.

Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
