Dorothy Mae Ray Johnson, 78, a native of Terrebonne Parish and a resident of 
Chauvin, died Wednesday, July 21, 2010.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Community Funeral 
Home. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with 
burial at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Chauvin.

She is survived by five sons, Micheal Johnson and wife, Lucinda of Beaumont, 
Texas, Luther C. Johnson and wife, Hazel of Chauvin, Asbie Joseph Johnson, 
Earnest Johnson of Rosharon, Texas, and Louis Johnson of Chauvin; one daughter, 
Vivian Johnson of Port Arthur, Texas; one sister, Bernadette Hines of Las Vegas; 
18 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Ray Johnson; her parents, 
Corneilus and Leola Ray; one brother, Corneilus Ray Jr.; two sisters, Annie Mae 
Ray and Pinky Ray; her grandparents, Cornelia Smith and Taylor Seymore.

She was Baptist and a retired Licensed Vocational Nurse.

Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
