Kiger Sr., 54, a native of Raceland and resident of Houma, died at 7 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2010. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off. Mass will be at noon Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off, with burial at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano. He is survived by his wife, Catherine "Cat" D. Kiger; two sons, Russell Kiger Jr. and Brett Kiger; one daughter, Sabrina K. Griffin; three brothers, George J. "Chico" Kiger, Johnny Boudreaux, and Leroy Curole; 12 sisters, Georgianne Ludeman, Angelina Dardar, Sylvia Billiot, Connie Gaudet, Donna Lynn Selvage, Evelyn Savoie, Cynthia Bernard, Christine Berthaut, Paulette Rowell, Annette Bellanger, Cathy Cooksey and Tish Cantrelle; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, George L. Kiger and Hazel Prosperie Bernard; and three brothers, Gary Kiger Sr., Michael Kiger and George Kiger Jr. He was Catholic. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family are preferred to help with medical expenses. Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off is in charge of arrangements. ===================
