Ronald "Chunk" Joseph LeCompte, 83, a native and resident of Chauvin, died at 
4:08 p.m. Sunday, July 4, 2010.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic 
Church in Chauvin. Mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in 
St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2 in Houma.

He is survived by his wife, Deanna Carlos LeCompte; one son, Peter LeCompte; one 
grandson, Ross LeCompte; one sister, Marietta Ray; and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney Louis and Estelle Louise LeBouef 
LeCompte; two brothers, Melvin and William LeCompte; and one sister, Maybelle 
Cancienne.

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
