Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jeanne Marie Chauvin Lirette; three children, Pamela Lirette Dugas and husband Carroll Joseph Dugas, Faith Lirette Babin, and Carroll Andrew Lirette Jr. and wife, Dorothy Frederick Lirette, all of Houma; six grandchildren, Holly Dugas Hebert, Adam Richard Babin, Shelli Babin Bokash, Luke Andrew Babin, Christina Marie Lirette and Douglas Paul Lirette; and nine great-grandchildren, Logan Michael Hebert, Elizabeth Claire Hebert, Chrysta Lee Babin, Ayden Richard Babin, Jackson Riley Bokash, Madison Grace Bokash, Blaze Thomas Babin, Halle Lynn Babin and Benson Wade Lirette. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie A. Lirette Sr. and Ophelia Virginia Cuneo Lirette; his half-brother, Eddie A. Lirette Jr.; and his grandparents, Joseph Cuneo and Catherine Guy Cuneo. Carroll was a rural letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service for 30 years. He was a member of the National Rural Letter Carriers' Association. He was also a member of AARP. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. ===================
