Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Friday at St. Hilary Catholic Church in Mathews. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial at St. Mary Cemetery in Raceland. He is survived by his son-in-law, Ned Matherne Sr.; two daughters, Marlene Matherne and Melinda M. Punch and husband, Donald; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Emma A. Matherne; his second wife, Lorraine C. Matherne; his parents, Alcide and Evangeline Matherne; his stepmother, Louise Trauth Matherne; one daughter, Eula Mae Matherne; one brother, Milton Matherne; and one sister, Mae Johnson. He was a parishioner of St. Hilary Catholic Church and a World War II and Korean War Army veteran. Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. ===================
