Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with interment at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano. She was the beloved mother of Ramona "Pixie" M. Pitre and husband, Kim, Regina Mayeur Galjour and husband, Van, and Ellis "Rocky" Mayeur Jr. and wife, Cindy; blessed with 10 grandchildren, Ranata P. Angelette and husband, Reese, Ryder Pitre, Reggie Galjour, Van John Galjour III, Rocky Ellis Mayeur and wife, Ngoc, Kailey Mayeur, Mason King, Justin King, Wesley Mayeur and Christopher Mayeur; two great-grandchildren, Kaden and baby Angelette; two sisters, Bella C. Dufrene and Meyan C. Dufrene; and two brothers, Felton "Tony" and Arcelone "Butch" Callais III. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Mayeur Sr.; one infant grandson, Ellis III; her parents, Arcelone and Lillian Collins Callais; three brothers, Arcelone II, Livingston and John Callais; and two sisters, Minola C. Griffin and Gloria C. Danos. Teach was a loving mother for the past 56 years. She additionally worked at Harold's Jewelry and Lafourche Life Insurance before retiring to become full- time caregiver for her mother and brother, Tony. She enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren in all of their endeavors as their No. 1 supporter. Her strength of spirit was truly one to be admired. Although we miss her terribly, we celebrate her life as a model of love and devotion to those about whom she cared the most. Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. ===================
