Visitation was from 9 a.m. to funeral time today at Chauvin Funeral Home. Service was held at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home. He is survived by his mother, Minnie Jenkins McNabb, of Baton Rouge; one son, Frank "Frankie" Wayne McNabb, of Baton Rouge; two daughters, Toni Leigh McNabb and husband, Calvin Bessonet III, of Geismar, and Bridget Todd of Richmond, Va.; one brother, Ivy McNabb, of Kentwood; three grandchildren, Dalton Cade McNabb, and Hayden John and Brooklynn Ann Bessonet. He was preceded in death by his father, Alton McNabb; and his grandfather, Hanford McNabb. He was a wonderful son, brother, father and friend. He never knew a stranger and embraced his friends as family. His heart was larger than life and his compassion has touched many. He was the founder and past owner of Applied Hydraulics Crane Company. Some of his accomplishments were the 1989 Private Industry Work Connection Award, 1993 Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year Award with the key to the city and 1994 District 3 Lantern Award. He was a Harley Davidson enthusiast who enjoyed the great outdoors. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge 481. Always with a generous heart, he was a contributor to various community nonprofit organizations. We would like to thank everyone for their prayers, cards, meals and visits during his illness. These were the moments that meant a tremendous amount to him and always brought a smile to his face. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. ===================
