Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Morning Star Baptist Church on Brule Road in Thibodaux. Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the church conducted by the Rev. Thomas Williams, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by one daughter, Alicia Meads; five sons, Gill and wife, Sheila, Adrian and wife, Thelma, all of Thibodaux, Marcus and wife, Paulette of Napoleonville, Troy and wife Roxanne of Chesapeake, Va., and Gregory and wife, Myra of Ft. Davis, Texas; one stepson, Robert Meads Sr. of Labadieville; one stepdaughter, Geraldine Marshall of Thibodaux; five sisters, Louise Percy of Houston; Thelma Williams and Shirley Scott of Thibodaux, Gloria and husband, Raymond Thomas of Labadieville, and Mary Harrell of Brooklyn, N.Y.; one brother, Joseph Pharagood of Oxen Hill, Md.; five sisters-in-law, Mable Fletcher, Leola Brown, Ethel and Rose Meads, and Ethel Randolph; one brother-in-law, Ellis Brown; four aunts, Florence Hawkins, Albertha Bennett, Elnora and Irma Johnson; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two godchildren, Sandra Washington and Raymond Moore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Denver John Meads; her parents, Ernest and Amy Pharagood; one son, Darryl Meads; four sisters, Edwina Johnson, Everlina Moore, Omega Cole and Ethel Pharagood; two brothers, Lyndon and Samuel Pharagood. She enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren, fishing and singing in the church choir.
