Theresa J. Mitchell, 71, a native of Owensboro, Ky., passed away Tuesday, July 
6, 2010 at Owensboro Medical Health System.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Southside Nazarene Church, 2804 
Veach Road, Owensboro, Ky. 42303.

There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery.

She was born in Daviess County on July 9, 1938 to the late Robert Miller and 
Martha Yarbough Miller. She had worked in retail management for 15 years. She 
was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and was also a board member and a 
Kentucky Colonel. She enjoyed gardening and Christian mentoring. She was a 
loving wife, to her late husband CW3 (Ret.) Roland D. Mitchell, 2005.

She is survived by three children, Jim Mitchell and wife, Michele, of Bourg, 
Robert Miles of Owensboro, Ky., and Shannon Erickson and husband, Rick, of 
Charleston, S.C.; four grandchildren, Brandy Miles, Scott Lang Jr., James 
Mitchell II and Jordan Mitchell; and three sisters, Cherry Carter of Lexington, 
Ky., Virginia Jones of Owensboro, Ky., and Jolene Hagen of Owensboro, Ky.

Haley-McGinnis and Owensboro Funeral Home of Kentucky is in charge of 
arrangements.
