Joandell Marks Robinson, 70, a native of New Orleans and resident of Houma, died 
Wednesday, July 7, 2010.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist 
Church. Service will be at noon Monday at the church, with burial in the church 
cemetery.

She is survived by one son, Damien Paul Robinson and Priscilla of Boutte; one 
daughter, Sandreka Robinson Walker and Dr. Patrick Walker of Houma; five 
brothers, Crosby Marks and Myrna of Wichita Falls, Texas, Larry Marks of 
Chicago, Johnny Marks and Crystal of Gibson, Reginald Brown of Houma, and 
Charles Brown and Josephine of New Orleans; two sisters, Gainell and James 
Broussard of Gibson and Carolyn and Alfred Robinson of Houma; and three 
grandchildren, Damien Paul Robinson II of Boutte, Zuri Elise Walker and Decourcy 
John Walker of Houma.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Robinson Jr.; her parents, 
Willie and Leola Marks; and one sister, Diana Marks LeBlanc.

She was a member of Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church, the Socialite Social and Civic 
Club. She was retired from the Terrebonne Parish School Board.

Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
