Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Paradis. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial at St. Charles Cemetery in Luling. She is survived by one son, Gaspar Taranto Jr. and wife, Arlene Dufrene Taranto of Paradis; six grandchildren, Kerry Taranto and wife, Stacy, Kacy Kernan and husband, Michael, Angela Grigar and husband, Michael, Charla Blankenship and fiance, Joey, Lauren Perkins and husband, Chris, and Joshua Taranto and wife, Chantel; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Gaspar Taranto Sr.; one son, Daniel Taranto; her parents, Harris Malbrough and Louise Leonard Malbrough; longtime companion, Emmett Werhan; two brothers, Alden Malbrough Sr. and Clifford Bonvillan; and two sisters, Hilda Vial and Annamae Loupe Breaux.
