Leon "Boom" Melvin Veal III, 33, a native of Houma and resident of New Iberia, 
died at 7 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2010.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Beautiful Zion 
Baptist Church. Service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial 
in Deweyville Cemetery.

He is survived by his companion, Aiesha Lee; his parents, Leon and Gail Veal; 
one son, Leon M. Robinson; four stepchildren, Jacolby Lee, Whitney Lee, Jalacia 
Riles and Keyante Lee; his grandmother, Eula Bell of San Francisco; four 
brothers, Robert Veal and companion, Genevia Thibodaux, Guy Campbell and wife, 
Chrysantha, Roderick Butler and wife, Monica, Leon G. Veal and companion, 
Tiffiney Lucas; and three sisters, Sheryl Veal, Jada P. Veal and husband, 
Robert, and Dawn N. Campbell.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia C. Veal; one brother, Jeon M. 
Veal; and his grandmothers, Georgia Scott Harrell and Albertha Moore Scott.

He was Baptist.
